“We’re gym members at Village Birmingham Dudley , and we almost always choose Village when we travel in the UK. The gyms, pools and spa facilities are brilliant, and the bars and restaurants are really good value.
Visiting Beatles Places in Liverpool
This trip was to celebrate 23 years of marriage - and more importantly, 30 years of being together - so we wanted to make it a memorable one. We thought Liverpool would fit the bill, and we weren’t disappointed. We followed the Beatles Trail and visited the legendary Cavern Club in Matthew Street, then soaked up the atmosphere at the historic Albert Dock. The shopping at Liverpool One was brilliant.
We’re already planning another couple of trips to Village Hotels around Britain. We really loved staying at Village Edinburgh a while ago and we’ll definitely be back there, and we fancy a few days in Nottingham, too.”
There’s more to do and see in Liverpool
The Beatles connection is a big draw in Liverpool but there’s much more besides, including brilliant museums and art galleries like Tate Liverpool and the Maritime Museum at Albert Dock. Then there’s a pair of cathedrals, fantastic shopping and two of the country’s best-loved football clubs.
Nightlife ranges from historic old pubs like the famous ‘Phil’ to a thriving live music scene, and clubs hosting some of the biggest nights in Britain. Catch a ferry cross the Mersey, or combine your trip to nearby attractions like Chester Zoo or the Lancashire coast.
