“My birthday is New Year’s Day, and it always feels like there’s not much going on, so we decided to have a break at Village Hotel Nottingham. My parents offered to babysit, and it’s less than an hour from home anyway so it’s ideal.
A TREAT-FILLED RETREAT
We really wanted to go somewhere that has everything on site, so we could just relax and not have to leave the hotel. Village Nottingham is great for that, because it’s got both the bar and the restaurant for food, along with the pool, sauna and steam room. I’d gotten a special offer deal that meant we could have a £50 meal for half price, so we thought we’d upgrade to a Club Room as an extra treat.
FOR FAMILIES WHO VALUE GREAT VALUE
I mean, I’ve kind of grown up with Village. When I was little, they built the Dudley hotel really near our house, and I used to go to Quiz Nights there with my family. In fact, my whole wider family went to Village Dudley for Boxing Day dinner last year, and it was such fantastic value for money that we’ve all agreed we’ll do the same again this year.
The offers are brilliant too, especially the January sale! I got another deal on a stay at Village Liverpool with breakfast for just £5, and I’m looking into Village Watford too, so we can have another family trip to the Harry Potter Studios!”
The city of Nottingham, in part made famous by the legend of Robin Hood, is rich in history, culture and is a major sporting centre in the UK, even being named “Home of English Sport in 2015”. Whether you visit Nottingham for a weekend away or just a night, there is so much to see and do from the world-class sport, live shows to travelling into the past via tours of grand historic building like Nottingham Castle.
Village Hotel Nottingham is just 20 minutes outside the city centre, in a quiet area right next to a nature reserve. It’s 15 minutes’ walk from Attenborough Station, and 25 minutes’ drive to East Midlands airport – making it perfect for a pre-flight stay.
