“I’ve stayed at Village Cardiff a few times, so when our friend Julia was turning 40, I booked the Village Swansea hotel for a group of 12 of us. We all went to Swansea University, but now we live in different parts of the UK, so it’s always lovely to get back together.
We planned to arrive in time for happy hour, and I think I was the first one there! It was a sunny day, so I got a glass of wine and sat outside in the beer garden to wait for the rest. The bar had an offer on Pimm’s and Prosecco, which was perfect for us girls!
One of the things I really love about Village hotels is that the bar really feels like a bar in a town or city centre, rather than something that’s just ‘part of a hotel’. It meant we could stay in one place and have a proper chat and a catch-up. When we booked it, I noticed there happened to be a tribute night on too, which worked out brilliantly. It was called ‘School’s Out’, with music from the 80s and 90s – right up our street!
FRIENDLY AND GREAT VALUE
The staff were amazing too. I’d taken balloons to put up for Julia’s birthday, and the staff were kind enough to take them from me when I arrived and put them up at our table later.
We opted to add breakfast to our booking, and I’m so glad we did because everybody loved it. In fact, some of the girls who’d never stayed at the Village Swansea hotel before couldn’t believe how good the breakfast was for the price.
I’ve already booked my next stay – my husband and I are off to Village Nottingham to relax and watch the darts at Nottingham arena. Can’t wait!”
The second biggest city in Wales, Swansea sits on the South West coast and the Village hotel here enjoys some lovely seaside views. A short walk from the city centre, the hotel is conveniently located just off the A483, with free parking provided for all guests. The hotel also boasts a state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool where you can get Swansea beach ready; here you will also find expert advice from personal trainers, many fitness classes to choose from – such as the combat classes - as well as a sauna, steam room and whirlpool. What’s to say no to?
