Daffodils, new born lambs, the Easter bunny and of course Easter eggs! Whatever you associate Easter with the Easter holidays are a great opportunity to get away with the family and spend some quality time together. Luckily, we’ve smashed it with our Easter offer at Village Hotels! This Easter the whole family can stay for 2 nights with breakfast included, plus a delicious dinner on the first night with kids eating for free!

To celebrate this offer, we thought we’d take a look at some great Easter attractions for kids near some of our hotels. Here are our picks of the top 5:

  1. Knowsley Safari Park

Only 10 minutes away from Village Hotel Liverpool, Knowsley Safari Park offers the family the opportunity to get up close and personal with a range of wild animals on the Safari Drive. Lions, Rhinos and Zebras are just some of the animals you will be able to see from the safety of your own car! There’s also a fantastic foot safari that allows you to take in the pleasant surroundings at your own pace.

Visit the Knowsley Safari Park page to find out more about the safari park, including special Easter family offers.

  1. Harry Potter World

You’ll have no doubt heard of the boy who lived, Harry Potter. J.K Rowling’s series of books and films captured the imaginations of millions of people all over the world, with the films alone making over $7 billion worldwide! Filming for the eighth and final instalment of the Harry Potter series ceased in 2010 and two years later in 2012, the lovely people at Warner Bros decided to open their doors to the adoring fans in the Harry Potter Studio Tour. The studios have already attracted millions of visitors since opening and for the first time on the 31st of March, the family will be able to follow in the footsteps of Harry, Ron and Hermione into the Forbidden Forest!

With Village Hotel Watford only 20 minutes away, this is a magical attraction which is sure to be great fun for all the family! Visit the official tour page for more information on each exhibit.

  1. Cadbury World

Get your fill of chocolate Easter eggs with a visit to Cadbury World! There is an array of entertainment lined up for throughout the Easter holidays with live shows and games for all the family to take part in. However, the ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ from the 14th to the 17th of April is certainly not to be missed with a massive Easter egg hunt around Cadbury World where delicious prizes will be guaranteed! Full information on the Easter Eggstravangaza can be found on the Cadbury’s World page.

If Cadbury’s World takes your fancy then we have three fantastic hotels in the vicinity – Village Hotel Dudley, Village Hotel Walsall and Village Hotel Solihull.

  1. Glasgow Science Centre

Situated on the banks of the Clyde and a mere 5 minute walk from Village Hotel Glasgow, the Glasgow Science Centre is one of Glasgow’s premier attractions and an ideal day out for the family. A new exhibition arrives this Easter ‘A Question of Perception’ which examines weird illusions with some fantastic physical challenges and puzzles that will leave you wondering if you can ever trust your eyes and brain again…

Visit the Glasgow Science Centre website for more information on ‘A Question of Perception’ as well as the other exciting exhibitions.

  1. The Deep Hull

Situated in the 2017 City of Culture Hull, The Deep Aquarium is home to 3,500 specimens of marine life including a variety of sharks and rays. For two days in the Easter Holidays, the aquarium is running junior experience days where children can help the staff out in carrying out their daily activities, including a touch pool session and taking part in the dive show!

Visitors during Easter can also meet the new arrivals – Sensa and Mabouche the Loggerhead sea turtles. There will be several interactive presentations throughout the day with the opportunity to take part in the turtle egg trail – just to keep it Easter themed!
